Went with my sister-in-law for lunch. We both their lunch special and both had a wonderful experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was delicious, with authentic flavors and a great variety of dishes. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to help with recommendations. Chic decor, also appreciated the two clean and spacious bathrooms, which added to the overall comfort of the place. Parking can be a bit challenging during peak times, so I’d recommend coming a bit early if you can. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was great. We got the drunken noodles, green curry, and basil eggplant. They were all very good. I highly recommend.

Great place for Thai food. Clean and nice decor and restaurant the place was empty when we went in on a Thursday lunch. The menu was easy to read, with some pictures. We ordered, and the food looked amazing. When it came out, the taste was immaculate, not too many restaurants do it like this one does. For the soup, the noodles were so flavorful with the curry/broth and I enjoyed the texture of the noodles. Beef was so tender was amazing. The shrimp had an amazing sauce on the noodles. When we were paying, the waiter gave me a discount as he acknowledged that the shrimp was smaller than usual, which I am very appreciative. I would definitely come back.

2nd time coming in a month. I eat Thai food a lot and this is by far one of my favorites. Love how they execute Thai food with a French/Italian fusion in some of the dishes. Can’t wait to see how this place blows up

SALA Thai Eatery has an upscale take on the classic Thai cuisines. It is located on Westheimer and was previously in the old Pling location (which is a smaller building with a good size parking lot). I came here on New Year's Eve so luckily parking and finding a table wasn't a problem. Upon entry, you can definitely feel the atmosphere and that the business owner put a lot of thought, time, and effort into designing the interior. Our host/server was extremely friendly and was prompt when needed. I ordered the Pecking Duck Eggrolls, Kao Soy, Panang Curry, and Sticky Rice. Similarly to the interior design mentioned above, the plates and dishes were curated in an elegant fashion and plated eloquently as well. For starters, the Pecking Duck Eggrolls were filled with ...you guessed it, pecking duck. It came with red leaf lettuce and Thai fish sauce; and was a very promising appetizer to start. Additionally, I ordered the Kao Soy, which is a chef special and a popular menu item with slow braised short ribs. The short ribs fell right off the bone and paired perfectly with the noodles and curry. I also had to order a staple in Thai food with the Chicken Pad Thai. Albeit, it was a very standard and basic pad thai that checked all the boxes but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Moving onto the Panang Curry, which was my personal favorite. This wasn't explicitly on the menu and I had to ask our server if it was possible to get a side of this and it delivered. It had a blend of spice, smoothness, and richness that found my soul. To finish it off with dessert, I ordered the Sticky Rice. Again, a classic and always pairs well after everything as a light refreshing finisher. Overall, love the atmosphere at SALA Thai Eatery and everything that they have accomplished thus far and can't wait to see what else they have in store!

A MUST TRY! Honestly, 10/10. Stumbled across this gem on the snow day with my bf and I’m so happy nothing else was open because I’m ready to go back TODAY. The food was delicious, flavorful, the spice level is on point for people who enjoy some heat, and the service was exceptional! We got egg rolls, pad Thai, and yellow curry. Also, I had the Sala Rita and Paloma- both (10/10)! We wrote this place down as a go-to when we’re craving Thai!

The duck curry was absolutely delectable! Perfectly cooked duck. Red curry was the best one of us has ever had. Their stir fries are delicious too. Nice clean fun ambience. Also, we usually go for dine in but recently we got yummy noodles and curry for takeout (check the photos!)

To sum up my first experience here in one word it would have to be AMAZING!! First off, the restaurant is extremely clean and has a modern feel but still comfortable and cozy at the same time. The service was excellent, everyone was very attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The chef and owner even came out during my dining to ensure my time there was enjoyable. Now, the food, hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. Not only is the presentation beautiful, but everything was fresh and flavorful and the quality of food was top tier. 10/10!
